Assessment of our participation: Innovation and sustainability in partition systems
Introduction: A creative and professional challenge
FLATbyArtis’s participation in ORGATEC 2024 has once again allowed us to put into practice the core values of our company: innovation, communication, and sustainability. For the fourth consecutive year, we are part of this event, regarded as one of the most important in the office and workplace equipment sector. We know it is the ideal platform to showcase our bespoke partition systems, with a focus on creating effective and aesthetically appealing workspaces.
Phase 1: Conceptualization and initial planning
Whenever preparing for a trade fair, the first step is to engage in a brainstorming session, always keeping in mind our commitment to environmental care and the well-being of individuals.
The design and R&D departments are responsible for envisioning our stand. This year, we focused on combining recycled materials with the latest technologies to elevate our partition systems to the highest level, selecting colors and finishes that are expected to set trends in 2026.
Simultaneously, other departments such as marketing, sales, and project management contribute their insights on what our clients and visitors expect from an event of this nature. Integrating all these elements is crucial to executing the design project and subsequent stand assembly if we aim to make a lasting impression.
Phase 2: Pre-assembly at the factory
Once the ideas begin to take shape, detailed plans are drawn up. This phase is overseen by the production, design, and R&D teams, who carefully select the most suitable products and ensure they meet the established assembly requirements.
The pre-assembly takes place at our headquarters in Lleida, once all the necessary components have been manufactured and gathered. Here, we have a professional assembly team that set up the profiles, glass panels, doors, and accessories of the partition wall systems to test their fit and functionality. After a few intense days of work, to facilitate easier transportation and assembly of all stand components, manual labeling is carried out.
Phase 3: Assembly in Cologne
After weeks of preparation, the final assembly takes place in Cologne. In this phase, the production team takes charge of transporting and installing the partition wall systems at the trade fair venue, while the constructors, who have already gained experience during the pre-assembly phase, install all components in the same manner as in Lleida. They work under the close supervision of the design team and management, yet the process runs smoothly due to the simple installation requirements of the partitions.
As an innovation, this time we selected specific recycled and eco-friendly materials for the partitions and their accessories, aiming to make the stand a tangible representation of our commitment to the environment. In terms of design, we sought to highlight an open and flexible space without sacrificing the privacy required for office areas. Additionally, we integrated our own R&D innovations to align with the offices of the future, staying true to the fair’s theme: "New Visions of Work."
Phase 4: Exhibition at the fair
During the four days of ORGATEC 2024, we had the opportunity to present our innovative solutions to a global audience. We showcased the latest technologies applied to our Flat FOUR and Flat SET partition systems, along with their matching door systems, as well as a new version of the Flat MOVE free-standing wall. Professionals from architecture, interior design, and furniture sectors from over 50 countries visited us, providing an invaluable opportunity to exchange ideas and establish new connections with potential clients and collaborators. The fair served as the perfect meeting point to demonstrate the versatility of our products, receiving a very positive reception from attendees.
Phase 5: Dismantling and conclusions
Once the fair concluded, after four days of continuous interaction with people from all over the world, it was time to dismantle the stand. In two days, the assembly and production teams efficiently organized the return transport.
Following the dismantling of our stand, we can confidently assess our participation in ORGATEC 2024 as a resounding success. Beyond the opportunity to present our solutions for workplace design, this experience allowed us to strengthen our international market presence and open new doors for future collaborations. We were able to solidify relationships with professionals worldwide and continue driving the growth of our brand. The positive energy and interest in our products motivate us to keep developing innovative ideas. Each ORGATEC edition marks a significant step forward in our evolution, and we are already planning our next move.
